Information Wants to Roam Free

by Ron Hogan

Publishers Lunch (to which I owe great thanks; its mention of the Brad Meltzer flap copy flap created the best single-day traffic in this blog's history) caught an article in the San Francisco Bay Guardian on a subject of great interest to me: Creative Commons. The success story of Cory Doctorow is recapped, Lawrence Lessig chimes in, and though the overall tone is enthusiastic, the article's careful to cite folks who think traditional copyright can handle their needs just fine.

As I mentioned in my e-mail to you, this is the first time I can remember seeing a blog noted in PL - something which (if I'm right) you deserve public kudos for. Well done, Ron. (It's that whole civility thing working for you, right?)
