Another Blow for Information Liberation

by Ron Hogan

The NYT technology section has the goods on free Lessig:

Penguin said the book sold out its first printing, but the company would not disclose specific numbers. (Nielsen BookScan, which tracks consumer purchases from major chains and Web sites and some independent booksellers, put sales at 2,600 through April 25.) Online, meanwhile, Mr. Lessig said yesterday that he could account for around 65,000 downloads from www .free-culture.org and related sites, and 1,700 from www.legaltorrents .com, a site dedicated to free downloading.

Take that, Thomas Mowrey! (Pity, though, that the folks at the book section were either out of the loop on this one or didn't think it was worth mentioning...)

Comments

Alas, free Lessig cannot assuage his attorney vernacular.
