Come to Think of It, Also Your Fault

Book sales are down, according to Book Industry Trends 2004. If I've done the math correctly, sales went down approximately 1 percent in 2003, while revenues increased 2.5 percent. Which leads me to wonder if sales haven't gone down because books have gotten more expensive, but of course the experts in the AP piece would rather blame the competition books face from other media (along with the used book market).
