One More Genius We Should Have Noticed

There I went, thinking of the literary geniuses from the latest MacArthur roster only in terms of the folks who wrote and published books, when I should have given props to Reuben Martinez, whose stewardship of the Liberia Martinez, a Latino bookstore that started as a small operation run out of a barbershop and is now an essential stop on any Latino author's itinerary. Martinez's efforts, which include co-creating the Latino Book & Family Festival, have also earned him recognition as Santa Ana's minority business advocate of 2004.
