Swedish poets have broadcast their work into outer space by radio to give alien life forms -- if they exist -- a taste of earthling literature. "I can't think of anything more adequate than poetry to communicate what it means to be human," said Daniel Sjolin, editor of Swedish poetry magazine Lyrikvannen and organizer of the live reading at a Stockholm observatory.

I tried to find something online about this magazine, but nothing useful turned up, so I have no idea what Swedish poetry might be like beyond "Orn desh born, der ritt de gitt der gue..."
