For Once, Judith Regan's Not Behind This
by Ron HoganToday's Galleycat includes a bit of snark at the news, reported on Page Six, that "Tara Reid is the front-runner for the lead in the movie/TV adaptation of She's Got Issues by Stephanie Lessing." What she doesn't harsh on, but could, is the way the Post, as ever, conveniently forgets to mention that Lessing's novel--which has found its ways into Post stories before--is published by Avon's trade paperback division, making it a corporate cousin. (I pause to point out that these observations should never be taken to reflect on the quality of the books that benefit from Richard Johnson's largesse to the various divisions of HarperCollins; I haven't actually seen the novel yet, or seen pages of it, anyway, since I might have a copy floating around somewhere in the stacks...)
On an unrelated tangent, to confuse matters somewhat, last year Urban Books published She's Got Issues by Stephanie Johnson, which has nothing in common with its titular twin beyond a female protagonist...
