Welcome to the Next New Beatrice

It was a little over a year ago that I was hired to co-write GalleyCat, a newsblog covering the publishing industry, and at the time I felt confident that I'd be able to keep this blog running pretty smoothly as well, squeezing in a few posts now and then. Well, it didn't quite work out that way, but I wasn't prepared to let Beatrice fade away. With that in mind, I've invited three very talented bookbloggers to take over the bulk of operations:

• DJ from Bookburger
• Rod Lott from Bookgasm
• "Dibs" from Dibs!

They'll each post once a week here; I also encourage you to add their regular blogs to your reading lists. For the next few days, while we get the ball rolling, I'm going to be posting a slew of guest essays and Author2Authors I've been too slow to get out before now, but once we're all into our groove (and maybe with one more blogger in the mix), I'll be cutting back to about one post a week here so DJ, Rod, and Dibs can hold the floor. The Beatrice mission is still the same: introducing readers to writers. We'll just do it a lot more than I've been able to do it on my own in recent months.
