Because Your Inbox Isn't Cluttered Enough...

by Ron Hogan

Rebecca Caldwell of Toronto's Globe and Mail reports on The Daughters of Freya, a mystery novel written and delivered in e-mail format. Personally, I'm not all that excited about a reading experience that doesn't allow me complete control about when I can start and stop reading, but if it sounds like your cup of tea, go have a look.

Of course, having just said that, my interest was somewhat raised by another item that just happened to be on the Globe and Mail website. Apparently, back in November, they started up a round robin serial called "Dark House," which will feature seven installments by respected Canadian authors and a conclusion selected from reader submissions. Sounds like something I might come back to in a few weeks when it's all online!
